I’ve been thinking quite a bit lately about where we are going and how we get there. I am sure many of you who have been here a while know how I like to figure out core issues to problems. We can look at something and see an overall problem and think on it forever or we can spend time dissecting it and looking for the core issue and eradicate that. This comes I suppose because I do EFT and in EFT if you can find the core issue to tap on, all your other issues will fall away after the core issue is resolved. This is how I look at life and it certainly helps to get to the heart of any matter more quickly. I have always thought awareness was a key issue for us to keep in mind and be aware of, but I also think appreciation is one as well, especially our appreciation of choice! Our whole life is one massive choice but how deeply do we honor and appreciate the fact we have choice?
Honoring and appreciating what we have is our way of showing our respect to life and we should not be taking life’s moments for granted. I mean stop and think for a brief moment what life would be like without choice! To honor and appreciate choice we need to exercise our freedom to choose by consciously thinking about our choices and always choosing the one that betters the whole of life and not just ourselves. Make the CHOICE to always take the time needed to be consciously aware of your choices, be grateful for the freedom choices bring to your life and honor them by always choosing what is best. It is only a matter of viewing life differently that helps to create change for the world. Choose to take the time to see your life differently and act accordingly.
Imagine the state of the world if everyone took the time to honor their lives and their choices, and always chose what they knew would be best for the whole of mankind and not just themselves. When you look at life this way you begin to understand how indeed changing ourselves ultimately change the world, and the more people doing this the faster the changes occur. That good old Hundredth Monkey scenario. A world filled with people appreciating life and its choices as a whole would be quite spectacular. For every person who chooses to change in this way, there will always be at least one other person they know who will decide to live their life this way as well and so the numbers multiply.
Life is sacred and we need to be living our lives in a sacred manner by honoring and also appreciating all that we have by the choices we make. This action creates meaning to life and life with more meaning is a life well lived. Far too many people today are living lives with little or no meaning hence all the despair and anger and violence. It is all fixable if we deal with the core issues and fix them and then everything else in the outer periphery will heal as well. It is not the Pharmaceutical drugs or video games that are causing the violence and killing. If you look for the core issue, it is the fact that life no longer has meaning and we are adrift with no direction and no reasons for what we are doing. Find the core issue to anything and fix it and everything else will always fall into place beside it.
Blessings to us all,
Visionkeeper

Hi VK, another great post!
I choose to allow myself to make mistakes and not beat myself up because of them… I choose to say it is OK as long as I learn from my mistakes – and it’s OK if I make them again, one step at a time. I choose to be more patient… more tolerant… more observant… I choose to try to be better, not than anybody else, but a better me.
These choices are fun… and with them, we CAN make a difference!
Thanks T….Love your choices as they revolve around being kind to yourself and loving yourself just they way you are. We live in a world where we are repeatedly told we are not good enough just as we are, and we ARE!!! Time to block out the degrading messaging and love ourselves just as we are. Good for you! Thanks for your thoughts. Always appreciated…Have a good one
VK
You nailed it again VK! To me the shift is all about humanity moving from unconscious choice making to conscious. This can happen as easily as reading a book that speaks deeply to us. In my own case it was an awakening to my overwhelming need for freedom. I was 27 years of age, trying my hand at corporate advertising after being a truck driver for a few years. Two company executives were discussing a book called “How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World” by Harry Browne. Based on the title and the brief discussion I heard, I just had to read it. Harry begins the book explaining about a dozen traps we fall into. Most of us falling into two or more which become our personal prisons. Then he moves on to the conscious choices we can make to get out and stay out of these traps.
Two years after reading the book, I learned I was going to become a father and realized I would soon be making life choices for my child. I did some reading and decided he would never be vaccinated nor attend school. This would require major lifestyle changes for me. One parent would always have to be home with the child and corporate employment would not allow for that so I only worked in the cash economy where I could set my own hours and keep my earnings to co-support the family. My son was not yet 2, when I left the last corporate job I ever had. He is 35 now.
Good choices ED…Just about everything being offered to children is detrimental in one way or another and offers nothing in support of a well rounded life. In order to make these conscious choices however, we have to believe in ourselves and then we can believe in the choices we make. Everything about our living needs to become conscious from the minute our eyes pop open until they close at night. That is being responsible for your life and the world around you….Thanks! Have a great weekend….VK
That was a great story Ed. I always love it when people share their successes (as well as their failures.) I’ve been reading VK’s posts daily for at least a year now and there isn’t one instance where she hasn’t opened a crack somewhere for people to look at things in a new and different way. I so wish more people had made the same choices as you did for your son. Thanks for sharing that so young people in the same position will see we do have so many more choices than we are led to believe.
Hey Raven [squawk...squawk..] good to see you girl….Thanks for your kind words above. I appreciate that. Have a great weekend…. VK
Thanks Raven, VK touches upon more things i feel compelled to respond to than others and when I post elsewhere, I rarely get any response. Choice making is so important to us now because in a year or two, the obvious choices alone will be overwhelming to most folks. 8) <3
Working as I Do VK in Supporting People live their every day lives as normal as possible.. Choices are a Very important part of our work ethic.. We promote Choice every day at every opportunity.
I agree we have lost our way as societies and have become indoctrinated in the ways of quick fix solutions, which for many means they DO not THINK.. as our TV;s and advertising programmes tell us what to eat, wear, buy, etc and we are Conditioned into a mode of thinking which has taken away our Choice, by telling us what we should and shouldnt do..
We have forgotten how to appreciate stopping for a moment and seeing how those instant decisions have affected the rest of our lives… Those who borrow to pay for items they don’t really need… But who then spend the best part of their lives striving to work, to pay their debts back.. Those who take a pill and do so because they are Told they need a pill, ok often that pill may be needed… I do not mock the Modern day medical science. but I also know more often than not.. We dont need those pills.. for then we need another and then another to counteract the side effects and before we know it we a hooked into the Pharmaceutical system of pill-popping addicts..
I wonder how many of us VK appreciate and value our health, and I wonder also how many of us if we just altered our way of thinking and life-styles could throw away those pills.. For we have lost our way in this world as you rightly say VK.. We have become the victims of ourselves… of over stress, over work for more and more of those items we all wish to accumulate.. And for what? for when we are worn out, and our bodies have taken in more and more of the toxins we ram down our throats… We then pass into that other realm of existence and leave all those things we worked for to someone else to benefit from …
I am trimming my own life of material goods, and enjoying and appreciating my life and the gifts our planet gives us daily while I can VK.. and once we understand and live in that appreciation and gratitude we see life is so simple .. And yet we have so complicated it for ourselves with our Greed for more and more… We have lost the Value of choice..
I choose to live Free in my mind…
I choose to live in harmony with nature and others..
I choose not to get angry,
I choose not to be jealous,
I choose not be envious,
I choose not to be judgemental,
I CHOOSE LOVE in my Heart instead of Hatred,
I CHOOSE Love every time…
And when we choose to make those choices… We really start to heal and Live life to the fullest..
I So enjoyed this Wonderful post as you shared your love … We all of us need to choose which path we walk upon… and which one to leave behind…
Love and Blessings my sister… DW
