Feel gratitude for life

There are a great many people who get up everyday with an attitude that automatically sets them on a course of negative experiences for the hours ahead of them in their day.    As I am sure we all know by now, we attract to us what we are thinking. I see so many       lost souls out and about who are having what looks like rather frantic days of swimming upstream. They appear frazzled and irritated that life is pushing back at them making their experiences anything but smooth. I hear them speak of fear about what is going on in the world and I know they most probably watch the nightly news faithfully, absorbing all of that fear filled, negative propaganda. It saddens my heart to see people asleep and struggling so in life. If they only knew with just a few changes in their thinking and by turning off their televisions, life could be so very different. Feeling gratitude is one of the big game changers. It is remarkable how making the effort to feel and express gratitude changes us inside, it opens our heart and makes us glow. How much effort does it take to express gratitude and yet many forget to do it, despite the great rewards. Just the other day I went shopping for groceries and when I was done putting the bags in my car I turned and wheeled the cart over to where they are lined up waiting for the next person. As I was walking back to my car a gentleman came forward and said ” It is so nice to see someone take the time to return their cart instead of leaving it in the parking lot. Thank you”. I smiled and replied back to him ” It is so nice to have some stranger make the effort to come forward and tell me that. Thank you as well”. We both smiled and went on our way, but as you can see, that memory has stuck within and makes me feel good to this day. Small gestures can make such a difference. Be light in heart and full of gratitude and be aware of the goodness around you. Life can be wonderous if we just take the time to notice!

I spent a good portion of my life floundering about, unable to find a purpose and not knowing which direction to go in. It made life miserable and at times I would dread getting up in the morning. Afterall it was just going to be more of the same. Nothing like setting myself up for the inevitable with my thoughts, and sure enough it would play out much like I envisioned. I thank God everyday for steering me in the direction of spirituality. It changed my life by changing how I thought and changing what I felt in my heart and soul. It took some getting used to, much reading and faithful awareness of my thoughts to think differently, but once it clicked in I was on my way down stream and I never looked back. I knew I was on the correct path in my gut and there was never any doubt about where I was headed. This journey has gently pushed me along until eventually one day I ended up here sharing with you all. It was meant to be. You were meant to be. I am so grateful to all of you out there reading. I hope you will share this journey with others so more will wake up and discover life is way different that what they knew before now. It is extraordinary! I hope you feel gratitude and life is filling your heart with joy.

Blessings to you all,

Rays of a shaman….How wonderful to see you back. I have missed your presence! You add a great deal to it all. I hope you have been well and today finds your heart filled with love and caring for those around you. Thank you for your kind words. Paragraphs are fine now. I’ve gotten used to it. No biggie. Hope they help. Again R, thank you for being who you are. You are a delight! Have a wonderful day and be in the light….VK 🙂

    • VK, thank you for your kind words. I sincerely hope we are already in the Light, time is becoming ever shorter. Our hearts should overflow with love for humanity every day in spite of the perceived difficulty in doing so. Thank you for being aware of paragraphs, they are indeed helpful, but in no way should you allow them to limit the flow of words, the awareness you clearly have and so willingly share . Be blessed in the Light, and take care. ~R

  2. VK, I really do enjoy your writing and love your thought processes. It is unnecessary to apologize for wonderful writing. Fear not about the paragraph breaks, sometimes I DO very much the same thing. Words flow continuously and do not take paragraph breaks–time itself completely disappears and technicalities are not important.
It is understanding what is happening that counts–not the technicalities, so DO keep doing exactly what you are doing. Be at peace within and let your words flow.
‘ Have a wonderful day’ is what people say–but it is not how a day is perceived that is important, but how much of ourselves we are willing to contribute to it. “:) ~R.

Thank you NS…I appreciate your kind words. Gratitude is indeed a life saver i believe. It always leaves you feeling full when you express it to others from your heart. Amazing times we are in. Again thanks! VK 🙂

  4. Cultivating an attitude of gratitude makes the journey that we travel a lot easier for us to bear no matter how many obstacles we face. Your reflection of it is rather wonderful. Thank you for sharing your inspiring thought VK.

    God Bless You 😀

Greetings RK…..Thank you for coming by. I appreciate it. As for the format unfortunately I pretty much channel write and it just flies out of my fingers so there is no stopping to worry about paragraphs. It is hard enough to write a post everyday and keep it interesting without writing then taking the extra time to break it all down into paragraphs….Sorry. i only have so much time and energy 😦 Come back if you can stand it 🙂 …Love having you here….VK

  6. Vision Keeper, I was most interested in your post, you have nailed it on the wall perfectly for all to see. I was fascinated in the concept of the illustration, the ‘grouch’ shielding himself from endless love that is raining down upon him. I know people who do just that. They remain miserable only because of their own foolishness.
I specifically make it a practice to talk to and smile at people every day –it’s surprising how wonderfully people react –even when they’re crabby and tired and working. A single, wonderful smile can last all day, uplifting many hearts and souls. “:)

p.s.. Please consider using some paragraph breaks to make reading easier on the eyes? Thanks! Have a wonderful day! “:))

Thanks Anil…I think we’ll get the hang of things here pretty soon. I’m hoping we do anyway. Time to get on with things and get to the next level of life. Glorious thought! 🙂

  8. HI VK, yes its amazing how a little gratitude goes along way… Often it is the little things that mean alot, getting up for the elderly or pregnant lady on the bus, holding a door open, helping a mum load her kids, shopping and pushchair on the bus etc.. Just saying hello as you pass someone while walking..
When out walking in the countryside I often see how many we can get to say hello and smile back as us when we smile and say hello its such a lovely day..Some will smile back and return the greeting while others look at your suspiciously.. Its quite amusing ..
Gratitude is seeing all those wonders around us everyday.. and being thankful we can enjoy them and our health..
Always a pleasure to come here VK

Mornin’ DW….Always a great pleasure to find you here visiting. Yes, gratitude and acknowlegment of others is such an easy thing to do yet we seem to have forgotten how during this great slumber we have been in. I do hope the memory of how to feel gratitude returns quickly to everybody’s heart. Calling people by name is one of the easiest and means so much. Ya know when you call an operator to place a call or shop via the phone and someone comes on and says the name of the company then something like Sue speaking may I help you? If you make the effort to not only call her by name but add in some personal conversation like asking how her day is, the whole conversation shifts.
So easy yet we often don’t think to do it….Have a good day friend….VK 🙂
